Umeed took 20 farmers from Ealwal to participate in an agriculture seminar on Happy Seeder Technology in Kanoi on April 7. Around 500 farmers from different villages participated in the seminar, which was conducted by Punjab Agriculture University. The farmers were informed about Happy Seeder and other agricultural technologies (A).
Umeed also discussed with a few farmers the feasibility of cultivating potatoes/tomatoes as alternative crops as earnings from wheat/rice have fallen sharply in the past few years. Organic farming of wheat, rice and vegetables was also discussed (B).
